YouTube Distill
Turn any YouTube video into a mind map, a key-point summary, and a web slide deck — in the video's own language.
What it does
Paste a YouTube link and YouTube Distill pulls the video's transcript and turns it into the study aids you actually want: an interactive mind map, a tidy key-point summary, and a self-contained slide deck you can present in the browser. It detects the transcript's language and writes every artifact in that same language, so a Japanese talk stays in Japanese and a Spanish lecture stays in Spanish. Every video you distill is saved to a browsable history.
Features
- Pick what you need — generate a mind map, a summary, a slide deck, or any combination. All three are on by default.
- Interactive mind map — zoom, pan, and collapse a hierarchical map of the video's ideas.
- Clean summary — a short overview plus the key points, each with a one-line explanation.
- Web slides — a ready-to-present slide deck you can step through with the arrow keys.
- Original language — outputs follow the language spoken in the video.
- History — revisit, reopen, or delete any past video from one place.
When to use it
Reach for YouTube Distill when you want the substance of a long talk, lecture, tutorial, or interview without watching the whole thing — to review before a meeting, take notes on a course, or turn a video into slides you can share.
